Driving 20 Years From Now

I think it was 1976 when I had a coloring book of t he future and it had floating cities and flying cars.  I remember the book saying that we will be driving solar powered cars by 1990.  Imagine how disappointed I was when I came across that book while going through some old boxes and the year was 1999. No flying cars and no cities of the future. In fact, I was driving a Doge Neon on roads in need of repair.  For years we have all these ideas of the future but it’s seems that for reasons beyond our control, we are extremely slow getting there.

Volkswagen has launched a site that show’s some pretty nice concepts and ideas of what the driving experience will be like in the next 20 years. The site is amazing however, I was partly disappointed with the work because all of the vehicles still have wheels
